Building Permits & Inspections

The City of Hardwick requires building/moving permits for all new construction, additions to existing buildings, fences, moving in a structure, etc.  Building/Moving Permits are must be approved by the Hardwick City Council prior to moving or starting construction.  They are reviewed by the Hardwick City Council at regular monthly city council meetings.  

The Building Permits and Inspections Department is responsible for:

• Conducting building construction inspections
• Issuing building permits
• Reviewing building plans
